In case you missed it...
Lainey Wilson was looking forward to her tour stops in Iowa this weekend, but she had to cancel. Though she didn’t go into detail, the singer tweeted “Due to a family emergency, I’m unable to play this weekend’s shows in Maquoketa, IA and Arnold Park, IA. I’m so sorry to cancel last minute, but please trust I would not be backing out if it weren’t critical. Please keep my family in your prayers.”
Barbara Mandrell is celebrating a huge milestone this weekend with the help of some friends. Carrie Underwood, CeCe Winans, Suzy Bogguss, and Linda Davis will all help Mandrell celebrate 50 years as a Grand Ole Opry member. Mandrell will be at both Saturday night shows. You can watch an hour of the Opry on the Circle network.
Brad Paisley is the latest artist to sell their music catalog. HarbourView Equity Partners bought the rights to the Grand Ole Opry member’s recorded music, including his award winning songs. The price hasn’t been disclosed, but considering he’s won three GRAMMYs, two American Music Awards, 14 CMA Awards and 15 ACM Awards, the price should be a good one. HarbourView also snatched up Lady A’s publishing catalog. The deal includes their nine times platinum tune “Need You Now.” It also includes songs they’ve written for other artists including Luke Bryan.
