The US National Library of Medicine describes picky eating as a "common disorder during childhood often causing considerable parental anxiety.” They also did a study that found that “at any given age between 13% and 22% of the children were reported to be picky eaters.”

- Get you kid in the process: from grocery shopping to making it
- Set a good example
- Stick to regular meal times
- Keep meal time relaxed, happy, and fun
- Eliminate distractions
- Don’t make separate meals
- Remember that your child may taste things differently
- Listen to them
- Be patient and persistent
