CMT has announced a huge lineup of summer programming featuring some of your favorite country stars. The “CMT Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th” special will air live at 10 pm, featuring Old Dominion’s Independence Day Concert from downtown Nashville, as well as a huge fireworks display. They are also bringing back “CMT Campfire Sessions,” kicking things off July 15th with Jason Aldean with Brandy Clark, Clay Walker and Tracy Lawrence, Old Dominion, Brett Eldredge, Old Crow Medicine Show, Little Big Town and Jon Pardi on board for future episodes. Finally on August 12th, the network will air “CMT Summer Camp,” with Little Big Town, a one-hour special shot from Sandy Creek Barn Amphitheater at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia.
Mickey Guyton has been tapped to host the 42nd edition of “A Capitol Fourth,” set to air live from Washington, DC Independence Day on PBS. “I am so excited to be hosting 'A Capitol Fourth' this year live from Washington, D.C.," Mickey shares. "It's an honor to be leading our nation's 246th birthday celebration, and to share music, fun and fireworks with my family and all of yours!" Mickey will joined by an all-star cast of artists, although no lineup has been announced as of yet.
