Congratulations are in order for Sam Hunt and wife Hannah Lee Fowler. The singer revealed on stage that the couple welcomed their baby girl, who they’ve named Lucy. “I recently had a baby girl named Lucy Lu,” Sam shared during his appearance at the Stars For Second Harvest charity concert at the Ryman, although he didn’t reveal exactly when she was born. “I think being out here, and in the music business and being out on the road, has sort of hardened my heart,” he explained. “My heart’s definitely a lot harder in a lot of ways since I left that small town. It’s amazing how that little girl melted that all away overnight a couple of weeks ago.” Sam also shared, "I’ve been filled with a lot of gratitude these past couple of weeks and I just want to say up here on The Ryman stage how grateful I am to have been a part of Country music for the last ten years.” The baby news comes just weeks after it was revealed that Hannah withdrew her divorce filing. She filed the papers back in February claiming he cheated.
Taylor Swift has reached out to a college basketball team who used one of her songs to pump up them and their fans during their winning season. The Men’s team at Providence College blasted Taylor’s 2008 hit “You Belong With Me” throughout this season, which saw the fans go crazy. The team wound up with a 27–6 season as well as a Big East regular-season title and Sweet 16 appearance. The team, known as the Friars, even thanked Taylor, noting she will “forever be a part of the 2022 season and all that the team achieved,” and now she’s responded. “Hi Friars! What an amazing 2022 season! Congratulations to you all on your incredible and inspiring success,” read a handwritten letter from the singer. “Sending you all hugs!”
