The Honor Flight of the QC's took off this morning and got a little help from local singer/songwriter Angela Meyer! Angela says, "I was inspired to give back to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities and ended up doing a benefit for them in Kewanee about a month ago- we were able to raise over $1000 for them which meant fully sponsoring at least two veterans to go on the flight. In hearing some of the volunteers talk about their experiences and things they had seen through the Honor Flight... I was moved and inspired to say the least." Angela turned that inspiration into a song called "Row 24." "I wrote this song including bits of those stories in order to add a human element to all the fundraising and planning that goes into making one of these flights happen. Tomorrow night (April 12th) I'll be performing at the airport in Moline for the veterans when they get off the plane after their day in Washington D.C. I couldn't be more excited or proud to play a small role in letting these guys know just how much we love and appreciate them & their sacrifices." You can check out "Row 24" below!!!!
