Garth Brooks hinted that a big announcement was coming, and he wasn’t lying. The singer just announced two solo shows at the Ryman auditorium in Nashville. Dubbed “Just Garth, The Ryman and You,” the “intimate” shows take place November 19thand 20thwhere fans will be able to “hear the story behind the songs.” Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 am, although the venue isn’t being sold to capacity so there will be a limited number available. They will cost $250 each, with a four-ticket limit. All attendees will be required to show proof of a full vaccination or proof of a negative test within 72 hours of the show. Non-vaxxed ticket holders will be required to wear masks.
The late Charley Pride is set to receive the RIAA Lifetime Achievement Award next week. The honor will be bestowed on Charley October 25that the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM), with Garth Brooks on hand to pay tribute to the singer and Charley’s son Dion accepting the honor on his dad’s behalf. “Sometimes the greatest honor you can receive,” Garth shares, “is being part of honoring someone else—this is an honor.”
