Brett Young is the latest artist getting into the holiday spirit early. The singer just announced he’ll release the new Christmas album “Brett Young & Friends Sing The Christmas Classics” on October 22nd. The album features eight covers of classic holiday songs, with Brett joined by a host of special guests, including Colbie Caillat, Sam Fischer, Dann Huff, Darius Rucker, Maddie & Tae, Chris Tomlin, and Phil Wickham. He’s also given fans the first taste of the album, releasing his take on “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” with Sam Fischer. But that’s not all. Brett is also set to star in a new holiday episode of CMT Crossroads. “CMT Crossroads Christmas: Brett Young & Friends” will air sometime later this year. The 5,000th Saturday night broadcast of the Grand Ole Opry is going down October 30th and it will feature an all-star lineup. Among those confirmed to perform are Opry members Bill Anderson, Terri Clark, the Gatlin Brothers, Vince Gill, Chris Janson, Jeannie Seely, Connie Smith, and Chris Young with more expected.
