Jimmie Allen has signed on for a new gig. The singer will be the Executive Music Producer on the new Netflix sports reality series “Titletown High.” Jimmie will also contribute a previously unreleased tune, “Big in a Small Town,” as the show’s theme song. “It’s full of football and drama, it’s a good one!!!,” Jimmie shared. “Can’t wait for y’all to watch.” The series, which launches August 27th, follows Georgia high school football team The Valdosta Wildcats through its first season with head coach Rush Propst.
A deluxe vinyl reissue of John Prine’s 2005 album “Fair & Square” is set to come out October 1st. The two-LP set will be released in standard black vinyl, as well as opaque green, and green and orange, which was pressed at Jack White’s Third Man Records’ plant in Detroit.
