In case you missed it...

Our condolences go out to Jake Owen, who is mourning the loss of his German Shepherd, Slash. “I lost one of my best friends last night unexpectedly,” he shared on Facebook, “The drs said his stomach had “flipped” and even with emergency surgery, it wasn’t enough to save him…I didn’t even make it home in time to say goodbye.” He adds, “Slash was my youngest German Shepherd and the sweetest most loving dog I’ve ever had. He was more like a human than a dog. While my other pups would run free across the farm, Slash just wanted to be by my side.” Finally he notes, “Losing a dog is like losing a family member. It was hard for me to even put this post together and share. Go love on your family. Go love on your dogs. See ya up there Slashy. Love ya buddy.”

John Fogerty, Steve Miller, and Journey will take part in a 9/11 20th anniversary concert. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation will host the Never Forget Concert on August 21st at the Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York. Also on the bill are Jesse Colin Young, who will sit in with Steve Miller, The Chainsmokers, Wyclef Jean, Lee Brice, We McDonald, Gavin DeGraw, Flo Rida, and Danny Rodriguez. The foundation will donate tickets to first responders, military personnel, and Gold Star families. The concert can be heard on the iHeartRadio app.
