Everyone’s favorite big red dog is coming to the big screen. Paramount Studios has dropped the trailer for the upcoming live-action “Clifford the Big Red Dog” movie based on the classic children’s book series… and it’s sent the Twitterverse into a frenzy. Clifford may have been adorable in illustrated children’s books or animated series, but folks are a little intimidated now that he’s been reimagined for a live-action movie. Twitter’s reactions to the trailer range from calling Clifford a “beast” to comparing stills from the clip to a “commercial for anxiety medication.” Someone has also dug up a behind-the-scenes picture revealing how “Clifford” was filmed before CGI. Basically, it’s two guys in a red mold in the shape of Clifford’s body… which folks find “absolutely terrifying.” “Clifford The Big Red Dog” premieres September 17th. Check out the trailer below.
