- Gardner Sets Record For Fastest Wheel Barrow (REAL)
Some folks are just never happy holding one world record so they need to conquer another one. A gardener, who already holds the record for building the world's fastest shed, has created a souped-up wheelbarrow and believes he set a new speed record after clocking 44 miles per hour on the back of the thing. Kevin Nicks called it the "Barrow of Speed" and thinks he can go even faster when a Guinness World Records representative comes to verify the accolade in six weeks. His custom-built contraption, which uses a moped engine, was competing at an event when he broke the record. Kevin says, "It's the most bizarre thing ever to ride - the handles of the wheelbarrow move in all directions. You're just trying to avoid crashing, which is great!" So why does he do it? Nicks says, "For me, it's rewarding to see the smiles on people's faces."
