Some people will do just about anything for their pets. This includes helping them to lose weight by sending them to a fat camp. Laila is a cat from Gainesville, Florida and is apparently obsessed with food. She is a rescue cat that was originally was found close to starvation. Since then, she’s developed a healthy appetite. At her heaviest, Laila weighed in at 23 pounds and her owners said she couldn’t jump on anything. They felt this wasn't a good thing and wanted to help her lose weight. They took her to a vet, who came up with a surprising solution. Once a week, Laila visits “fat camp” at the University of Florida. There, she goes through a series of workouts specifically designed to help her lose weight. These include running on the treadmill and even going for a swim. As you can see from the video below, she's not all that happy about the workout. Laila is the only cat at this camp and has dropped two pounds so far.
