  • Some Royal Wedding Guests Are Bringing Own Food (REAL)

Looks like some royal wedding guests will be packing a picnic basket when they head to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reception at Windsor Castle. “Page Six” reports that of the 2,000 guests invited to the party, only a portion will receive catered food and the rest will have to bring their own food. When you think about that is a lot of people to cater for, as etiquette expert William Hanson points out. “They do have a lot to cater for at the reception and then the evening event, and it is a lot of people in the grounds, but one would hope they do at least provide them with water,” Hanson says. So who does get the privilege of eating the catered food? Only the guests who are invited to the chapel ceremony get to eat on the royals’ dime, with a menu that includes seasonal British produce. “We know the couple wanted us to make sure we used all of the local seasonal produce as much as possible throughout their menu, and this recent good weather is really helping us to achieve that,” royal chef Mark Flanagan says. For those who do get to eat the catered food, they’ll have to do so on their feet. The fare, which consists of ‎hors d'oeuvres and small bowls of food, is reportedly meant to be eaten while standing up.
