In a modeling world full of fresh-faced beauties 66-year-old Jacky O’Shaughnessy is just getting started. O’Shaughnessy was first scouted to be a model at the age of 60-years-old by American Apparel. Ever since she’s done campaigns for Diesel, TOME, and has walked the runway at New York Fashion Week. Jacky notes that she first got scouted on a whim. “Two weeks after I moved to New York, I was staying with friends in the Village and looking for a place,” Jacky recalls. “A woman came out of a restaurant and she was waiting for a cab. She kept turning around and looking at me while I was having a cigarette. She came over and said “you look so regal sitting there, you look so beautiful” and she walked away.” As the story goes, Jacky she ran into the woman again at a local restaurant...and as it turns out, the woman was the creative director of American Apparel. They got to talking and next thing you know she’s making her modeling debut in American Apparel’s 2012 Fall/Winter campaign. Jacky's latest work is for Cotton On Body’s Everyday Heroes campaign, which celebrates women of every shape, size, color, and age. One thing’s for sure is that Jacky’s age isn’t slowing her down. “I don’t get up in the morning and check my age,” she say. “I don’t say “I’m 66 and this is what I should be doing because I’m 66” – I’ve never done that and I never will.” And by the way...it's not like stardom is new for Jacky - she's actually been in the business for decades, but just thought she was done.
