JD Nedeau's speech at his daughter's wedding was electric, but not in the way he'd hoped. After grabbing the mic to give his speech to the guests, lightning struck and traveled up through the microphone chord into JD. As the Father of the Bride explains, “it was like I was holding lightning in my hand.” JD was uninjured and his wife Maggy thinks it's all thanks to him changing out of leather boots that were hurting his feet into rubber soled sneakers. “It’s pretty funny,” JD adds. “It’s funny now because I didn’t drop dead.”
