Aside of a couple of Presidents, the answer? Garth Brooks. I'd started at WLLR just 7 months prior, and I was only beginning to understand how big this GARTH guy was.
He WAS big! The shows, March 24-26 1994 at Carver Hawkeye Arena, were all completely sold out. I went backstage with our winners who were getting to meet this king of country music and he REMEMBERED ALL THEIR NAMES. A tremendous night. Here's me getting custom voiceovers from the G man....
