The 10 year old me never missed the original Batman TV series with Adam West as Batman/Bruce Wayne. At the time I didn't even get the dry satire, I just LOVED the excitement! And the star was the coolest—Batman always seemed to know how to solve any situation..whether it was a villain threatening Gotham City, or Catwoman's romantic overtures (which I didn't get either).
Tonight, Los Angeles celebrates Batman's Adam West by shining the Bat Signal on Los Angeles City hall. The great actor Adam West passed away last Friday at age 88--may he rest in peace.
