I'm not crying, you're crying...
Don't let all those trippy mirror shots put you off, Thomas Rhett's video for his current hot track "Remember You Young" is the perfect little bittersweet love story.
The song peaked at number four on the charts on September 21st, and much like his fans, Thomas Rhett also has a great fondness for the song. He wrote it with songwriters Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley, and he says they wrote it based off loved-ones from each of their real-life memories, mainly inspired by Rhett's childhood friends, wife, and two adorable kids. It's a great example of the mood of his latest album Center Point Road, named from his childhood home. The album is all about the warmth of home, and the best memories with the people he loves most. He says "Remember You Young" even makes him emotional, and it's easily his favorite track off the whole album. I think you can really see that in the video too; he's sharing his heart with us here.
The video is very cinematic with a twist at the end that definitely had me reaching for the tissues. Thomas Rhett continues to live up to all the things we love about him: his genuineness, sentimentality, and sweet-hearted vibes.
