Midland Cancels Tour Due To Medical Emergency After Birth Of Singer's Baby

Midland has announced that they will be postponing their upcoming tour due to a medical emergency following the birth of bandmate Mark Wystrach's daughter.

Details regarding the specifics of the "medical emergency" have not been revealed, although the band has reassured fans on Instagram that "his daughter is expected to make a full recovery." They went on to explain that during the time of recovery, Mark is unable to be away from home.

"We are all incredibly saddened to delay the tour and are working hard to reschedule for next year," the message shared on Instagram says. "Mark and Ty will share more info when they feel comfortable. Further information on the rescheduled dates and refund details if unable to attend will be released next week."

Wystrach and his wife Ty Haney got engaged in May and officially tied the knot in October. The couple announced they were expecting a baby girl back in July of 2019. "I am beyond thrilled to be welcoming a girl, particularly since there are more strong women breaking barriers today than every before," Haney, the founder and CEO of activewear brand Outdoor Voices, said at the time.

"It's the most exciting thing that has happened in my life," added Wystrach. "Talk about something that makes you really take a step back and truthfully assess who you are and who you wanna be for this young little one. We're thrilled and terrified to go through this beautiful, life-changing experience and start a little beautiful family together."

Musically, Midland most recently released their sophomore album Let It Roll earlier this year on August 23.
