I am a displaced California beach girl who has a healthy respect and fascination with sharks so every year in my house, like 3.9 million other U.S. homes, we watch Discovery Channel's Shark Week.
Every year for 31 years I have watched every single night of Shark Week. I'm addicted to this captivating show that takes you into the mysterious world of these magnification and scary creatures.
This year's shark week runs Sunday, July 28 though Sunday, August 4. It just so happens that's the same week as the 100th Anniversary of the Great Mississippi Valley Fair.
OMG what's a shark fan girl or boy to do?
I don't know about you, but I am setting my DVR to tape shark week during the fair which runs Tuesday, July 30 through Sunday, August 4. No way I am going to miss a second of Shark Week or the fair.
This year Discovery Channel is going to give viewers an amazing multi-platform experience on social media as well as on TV. WOW!! Discovery Channel keeps on making Shark Week more exciting.
Last year I was on the edge of my couch with all the breathtaking in your face action. I have no doubt this year will be better than ever.
