This Just In: Toughest Job? Being a MOM

You watched how hard she worked while you were growing up…and now the facts are in: Research confirms what all mom's already knew: being a mom is the equivalent of 2.5 full time jobs.

A survey from Welch's juice showed the average mom works 14-hour days 7 days a week

That makes for an average of a 98-hour work week!

Motherhood isn't the sort of job where you clock in at nine and off at five. Mom's work every hour under the sun, pretty much. Now we have the research to confirm it.

A survey of 2,000 American moms of children ages five to 12 analysed their weekly schedule. The study, conducted by Welch's juice company, showed that the average mom begins her work at 6:23am and wraps at 8:31pm.

That makes a mother’s working week a total of 98-hours long, two-and-a-half times more than the average job. And even though a stay at home mom's workday is generally 14-hours, the survey showed the average mom gets just one hour and seven minutes of time to herself every day.

Be nice to your Mom today.  If you've grown up and moved away---call her tonight.
