In case you missed it...

Artificial intelligence rears its ugly head once again. Its latest victim: late country legend Don Williams. Recently an album, purported to be by Williams, appeared on Spotify and YouTube, as well as other streaming outlets. The "album," titled "God and the Horses," appeared to be a legitimate release and even sounded similar to the iconic baritone singer's voice. The most disturbing part of this story: the music was posted on the official Don Williams accounts. The twelve videos/songs from the "album" were on both Spotify and YouTube on Monday afternoon, but were seemingly all pulled down later that night.

The long-awaited official release of Cody Johnson's version of "Travelin' Soldier" is upon us. The song, which Johnson has been performing live for years, was written and originally performed by Bruce Robison, but made famous by the Dixie Chicks, who turned it into a huge hit in 2002. Fans have been begging for a studio version almost as long as Cody's been playing it, but such a release seemed unlikely...until recently, when Johnson started reposting videos and posts from fans, begging for a version to be released to streaming platforms. Then, yesterday, he posted a short clip of him in the studio, with the caption "Friday" and featuring the instrumental intro to the song. You heard the man...Friday, your musical prayers will be answered. See the post below...
