While the Grand Ole Opry is known for keeping the history and heritage of country music alive, the institution also has an eye on the future. Each year, the Opry issues its list of names for their "NextStage" class, and if anyone knows talent, it's the folks at the Grand Ole Opry. Past alumni of the Opry's "NextStage" include very recognizable names, like Lainey WilsonRiley GreenParker McCollumMegan Moroney and many others. Yesterday, the Opry named their 2024 "NextStage" class, so take down these names and start looking them up on YouTube. Charles Wesley Godwin, Flatland CavalryWyatt Flores49 WinchesterElla LangleyAnne WilsonMadeline EdwardsChase Matthew and Josh Ross make up the latest "NextStage" class. The class will not only appear on the Opry throughout the year, but will also take part in special shows and be highlighted in Opry content - a huge boost for these young artists. CMT's "Campfire Sessions" has featured some of the biggest names in an intimate setting fireside, either solo or with minimal accompaniment. The final episode of the season airs this Friday night on CMT, and it goes old school. The "Classic Country" episode will feature Brittney Spencer, Chris Young with Mitchell Tenpenny, Darius Rucker, Dustin Lynch, NEEDTOBREATHE, Priscilla Block, Riley Green, and Sara Evans. Lonestar is going classic pop on their new track. No stranger to the pop charts themselves (they hit #1 back in 1999 with "Amazed"), the band just released a cover of the Fleetwood Mac classic, "You Make Loving Fun." The song is currently available for pre-save and pre-add, with it reportedly being part of a new project to be announced next month.
