The Dylan Scott family has increased by one! Dylan and wife Blair Scott welcomed a third child, a boy they named Barron, Tuesday night after chronicling Blair's pregnancy in a series of humorous social media posts over the last several weeks. Last night was the inaugural People's Choice Country Awards, held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The event was hosted by Little Big Town and featured an evening of tributes, live performances and a few tears. While some of the awards did not make the broadcast, the two hour show was jam-packed with country stars and country music. Here's a rundown of what viewers saw:
- Hosts Little Big Town opened the show with a performance of "Boondocks"
- Lady A presented the first award of the night, Female Artist of 2023. Winner: LAINEY WILSON
- Chris Young introduced Kane Brown, who performed "Bury Me In Georgia"
- Hunter Hayes introduced Carly Pearce, who performed "Country Music Made Me Do It"
- Jessie James Decker and Kameron Marlowe present the Group Or Duo Of 2023. Winner: DAN + SHAY
- Blake Shelton performed Toby Keith's "Who’s Your Daddy?" followed by a Toby Keith career montage and tribute given by Blake - who then presented Toby with the People’s Choice Country Icon Award
- Toby then performed a stirring rendition of "Don’t Let The Old Man In"
- Nikki Garcia introduced HARDY, who performs "Truck Bed"
- The War And Treaty presented the Collaboration Song Of 2023. Winners: JELLY ROLL & LAINEY WILSON “Save Me”
- Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina presented the Social Country Star of 2023. Winner: BLAKE SHELTON
- Kristin Cavallari and Adam Doleac introduce Kelsea Ballerini, who performed “Mountain With A View”
- Brothers Osborne introduce Wynonna with a montage of her career, before she performs a medley of “I Saw The Light/No One Else On Earth”
- Brothers Osborne returns to present Wy the Country Champion Award, who concluded her acceptance speech by saying, "The highs are high and the lows are low, baby…but don’t ever let them tell you who you are."
- Gabby Barrett and Dustin Lynch present the award for Music video of 2023. Winner: HARDY ft. LAINEY WILSON “Wait In The Truck”
- Carly Pearce introduced Dan + Shay, who performed “Bigger Houses”
- Mickey Guyton and Josh Ross present the award for Male Artist of 2023. Winner: JELLY ROLL. They cut to Jelly Roll live in Cincinnati as Elle King presented him the award on stage
- Comedian Lee Ann Morgan introduced Jelly Roll live in Cincy to close out the show with his live performance of "Save Me"
