In case you missed it...

Carly Pearce is getting the spotlight treatment this weekend on CMT. The network premieres "Carly Pearce - 29: Written In Stone (Live From Music City)" tomorrow at 12p/11c. The show will re-air on CMT Music and MTV Live. The special was recorded in front of a live audience in Nashville and coincides with her album of the same name, which dropped March 24. The one-hour special includes nine performances and special guests Ashley McBrydeLee Brice and fiddle player Jenee Fleenor. During May, the special will encore back-to-back with "CMT Defining: Carly Pearce," the network’s new series Pearce launched last month in celebration of the 10th anniversary of its "CMT Next Women of Country" franchise. Carly fans won't need a DVR as her special(s) are getting multiple viewings the rest of this month and into June.

Garth Brooks 2023 run of shows in Vegas, "Garth Brooks/Plus One Las Vegas Residency," began last night, but Garth is already looking forward to 2024. Announced yesterday, an extension to the country legend's stay in Vegas - with 18 new shows added in 2024. The shows will take place in batches during the months of April, May, June and July. "When the 2023 shows went on sale, I felt extremely fortunate and blessed," Brooks says in a new statement. "To even think I would get to do this for another year makes me happier than I can explain. Thank you for the chance." With 2023 and 2024 locked down, how long will Garth keep playing Vegas? "I plan on being here until they throw me out." The very special Vegas show promises a stripped-back performance from Brooks, with a twist: The band will be sitting in the audience, and will come up and join him on an as-needed basis for songs. The residency will take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and the newly announced 2024 string of shows will all be held in that same venue. Yesterday, Garth talked to Good Morning America about the residency, explaining what fans could expect. "I'm hoping [fans] get something here that they can't get anywhere else," Brooks says about his show, explaining that the "no phone, no video" policy he's putting in place for the shows will free him up to try out brand-new material. Fans must register for Ticketmaster Verified Fan by Thursday, May 25, in order to purchase tickets for the 2024 dates of the Garth Brooks/Plus One Las Vegas Residency when they go on sale. A presale will take place the following Tuesday (May 30) and the Verified Onsale date is Wednesday (May 31). Additionally, fans who tried to purchase tickets to the residency in 2023 and were unsuccessful will have first access to the new dates in 2024. The newly added dates for 2024 include: April 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 27th, 28th, May 2nd, 4th, 5th, June 26th, 28th, 29th, July 3rd, 5th, 6th, 10th, 12th, 13th.

If you're thinking of submitting your "vocal event" for the next country awards season, just don't. We already have a winner. Dolly Parton was talking with ET Canada when she revealed that, even though she's just completed a full album of new music, she has one more song she's just finished. "With Lainey Wilson...I just did, with her, we’ve got a song we did for The Judds. They’re doing an album for the Judds for mental illness and some of the problems that [Naomi Judd] had. So they’re doing a whole album of the songs, and I got to do 'Mama He’s Crazy' with Lainey." As for Lainey Wilson, she's always said that her dream collaboration is with Dolly Parton, so it looks like another bucket list item will be checked off for her.
