- Adopt a shelter pet.
- If you really want to be a hero, save a pet that’s set for euthanasia.
- Foster shelter pets.
- Volunteer at a shelter or pet organization.
- Donate much needed supplies to your local shelter.
- You can also be an advocate by helping push legislation that protects animals.
