Today is World Sleep Day, so how do you prepare for or even get a good night’s sleep? It starts with your bedroom. It’s got to be a relaxing, peaceful space. Getting it to that point requires plotting and planning. Expert Hannah Shore suggests these tips for better sleep in a tranquil environment:
- Find the proper pillow. You get what you pay for.
- Wear loose fitting PJs.
- Skip alcohol and coffee before bed.
- Put your TV and devices on eye comfort mode if you must use them.
- Try bed socks. They may cool you down.
- Keep your room cool for better sleep.
- Declutter your room.
- If your mattress isn’t comfy, find a bed topper or new mattress that will help.
- Don’t take work into the bedroom.
- Have a winding down routine.
- Bed sharing. If you need to sleep alone, do it.
- Get the right bedding for you to snuggle into.
