It seems “The Simpsons” are still proving their gift for foretelling the future!
Social media is buzzing with clips from an episode way back in 1998. A clip going viral shows the Soviet Union’s rebirth and a UN meeting with Russia and the United States. At the end, former Soviet leader Lenin breaks out of a glass coffin and says capitalism must be squashed. The wall that once split Germany into East and West also goes back up.
The episode is “Simpson Tide” and was made when Boris Yeltsin was president of Russia.
