For all the talk you might hear about country going pop, one artist who seems defiantly country is Miranda Lambert. Still, her kick-butt “every girl” mentality is something that’s appreciated by women across the board. That being said, women (and men) everywhere are getting to sample Miranda’s latest – “Somethin’ Bad,” her duet with Carrie Underwood.
How “everywhere” do we mean? When the video debuted yesterday, it wasn’t just on CMT. The clip also aired on MTV and VH1 as a cross-channel, cross-platform world premiere event and reached more than 100-million viewers across the three networks.
On the road and can’t get to a TV? That’s not a problem either – the video is now live exclusively at MirandaLambert.CMT.com and CarrieUnderwood.CMT.com. The video can also be found on CMT Artists App, Palladia and the network's 24/7 digital music channel, CMT Pure.
"Somethin' Bad" is the second single from Lambert's record-breaking fifth album, Platinum. The video will enter CMT Hot 20 Countdown on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The video premiere comes on the heels of the powerhouse pair high-energy performance of "Somethin' Bad" on the 2014 CMT Music Awards and if her track record shows anything all this exposure means somethin’ good’s about to happen.
