The Red, White and Boom Fireworks display that was canceled due to flooding is getting a second chance this year.
The annual 3rd of July fireworks display has been rescheduled for Labor Day, September 1, 2014.
Officials say the display will start at 8:30 p.m. sharp, and will be shot from a barge in the Mississippi River between Davenport, Iowa and Rock Island, Ill.
Organizers say family activities will start at 6:00 p.m. in Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport and Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island.
Both riverfronts will have public viewing areas.
Red, White & Boom! is hosted by Genesis Health System and Riverboat Development Authority, and presented by the Downtown Davenport Partnership, a division of the Quad Cities Chamber, and Rock Island Parks & Recreation.
