Listen to Devo on iHeartRadio

Devo is making plans to hit the road.

The pioneering new wave group has announced dates for the "Hardcore Devo Live!" tour, coming up this summer.  Band members say in a website post that they'll pay tribute to their roots with the tour, with performances showcasing the "experimental music" they did in the mid-'70s, prior to receiving a recording contract.

Devo adds that the tour is "dedicated to the memory of Robert Casale," a founding band member who's "now touring the universe."  Casale, also known in the group as Bob 2, died of heart failure back in February.  Devo will launch the ten-date trek in Baltimore, Maryland on June 18th.
